Innovative Outdoor Apparel: Arc'teryx Fall/Winter 2013

Mar 10, 2014

There are several reasons why we’re big fans of the outdoors brand Arc’ teryx based in Vancouver, Canada. First off, their name happens to be incredibly cool – it’s derived from the word  Archaeopteryx, referring to the fossil of the earliest known bird on planet Earth. The brand also does a great job of executing  unorthodox, out-the-box projects  like their annual mountaineering educational event in southern France dubbed The Alpine Arc’ademy.

Since their inception in 1989, they’ve specialized in applying innovative design ideas and tech-fabrics to their durable outdoors and climbing gear. Their upcoming collection for F/W 2013 continues their progressive evolution featuring lightweight technical  DOWN and NEW GORE-TEX® Pro technology. It also delivers impressive minimal detailing and a slew of functional elements, all presented in bold and appealing colors.
