Autavia Monza Recased

The Heuer Autavia is considered Heuer’s most useful watch because it features a highly legible dial as well as an accurate movement, which aids time keeping. Autavia’s are part of Heuer’s “Big Three” group, which encompasses the Heuer Monaco and Heuer Carrera, all important and highly regarded timepieces.
The term “Autavia” is a mix of the words Automobile and Aviation, which represent Heuer’s commitment to the world of motorsports.

About the Brand:

Edouard Heuer founded The Heuer Watch Company in 1860 in St-Imier, Switzerland. From the beginning Heuer’s timepieces were accurate and dependable, which made the brand a household name amongst various sports, especially motorsports. In 1911 Heuer introduced the first automobile dashboard chronograph called the “Time of Trip.” This timepiece revolutionized the world of automotive racing because it enabled the pilots and co-pilots to keep track of their lap times. In 1914 they changed the sports world once again with the introduction of the first wrist worn chronograph. These technological advancements heightened Heuer’s reputation as premier watchmakers and in 1924 they became the official timekeeper of the Olympic games. Heuer is one of the most influential timepiece manufacturers in the world.
