Production and Design:
Each frame is handcrafted in a dedicated factory in Italy. The frame front is carved from a single piece of acetate. During the design process, careful attention is paid to the fit and balance of each frame, which is pressed to create a bend for the face's curve. Nosepads are shaved for the most comfortable fit. Functional pins and plates are inserted by hand to provide strength and durability to the frames. Using state of the art machines, custom engraved corewires are injected into the acetate temples for reinforcement. A four day tumbling process is used to polished the surface of the raw acetate materials. Frames and temples are assembled and hand buffed until perfectly polished. The lenses or then mounted, and the frame is carefully adjusted to match the original design drawing.
