About the Brand
The Hamilton Watch Company was founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892. In 1912 Hamilton released the most accurate and reliable pocket watch of the time. This timepiece was extremely popular amongst railroad workers and conductors because it allowed them to keep accurate schedules. The timepiece was late referred to as "the watch of Railroad accuracy". Their newfound success with this pocket watch earned them a very big costumer, The United States Armed Forces. During WWII Hamilton ceased the production of civilian timepieces and focused solely on military horology. After the war Hamilton revamped its production of civilian timepieces and quickly became one of the most renowned timepiece manufacturer in the world.
