Socrates Corkscrew

The Socrates corkscrew is made out of mirror-polished stainless steel and was designed by London born designer Jasper Morrison in 1998. By collapsing the Socrates corkscrew and screwing the worm into the cork, you can easily pull the handle upward to extract the cork. The name of the corkscrew is a humorous allusion to the “Socratic Method” of extracting answers from a person through the asking of questions. With its stunning mechanical design, the Socrates corkscrew makes opening a bottle of wine even more pleasurable.
